'The Good Wife' Season 5 Spoilers: Secrets Revealed in Finale? (TRAILER VIDEO)

This weekend brings closure to another dramatic season of "The Good Wife." There are plenty of questions to be answered and new beginnings for several of the characters. Read on to learn more about what may, or may not, happen on Sunday night.

First off, there is growing tension between Alicia and Carey as they struggle to establish their law firm. After Will was murdered, it appeared as though Alicia may bail and join forces with her mentor, Diane, bringing things full-circle. However, one of the partners at Lockhart-Gardner beat Diane to the punch and hired another lawyer. Now Diane is in for a battle as she tries to keep her law firm running to her satisfaction. During the last episode, we saw her bristle, square her shoulders and say she was ready to fight. But does that mean she will clean house at Lockhart-Gardner to make room for Alicia or take a completely different path?

Second, Peter is in trouble in a number of ways. Not only is the election scandal still not solved, although it seemingly died off with Will. Things always have a way of being uncovered, though, and Governor Florrick is far from safe in his office. And when viewers last saw Peter, he was alone in his office with a young female reporter eager to "help" him in any way. There was definite sexual tension between the two, and Eli tried to prevent anything from happening between them, but in the final moments of the episode, she showed up unannounced and asked if there was anything Peter needed. Did he give in to his desire and have another affair?

Alicia and Peter's marriage has only gone downhill since Will died. Alicia firmly told Peter that they were not getting back together and would have a "Clinton" marriage that would benefit them both in their careers. However, this week Peter's mother and Alicia's mother descend on the household, which is sure to bring things to light and cause even more drama between the two.

"The Good Wife" season finale airs Sunday on CBS.
