'The Hills' Alternate Ending: Lauren Conrad Ends Up With Brody Jenner?
The MTV network is reportedly gearing up to air an alternate season finale ending of the "The Hills" three years after the show was canceled.
Fans of the hit reality TV show, which ran for six seasons, will get to watch a never-before-seen alternate ending of the season finale on Friday, Aug. 9 at 11:30 a.m. ET as part of the new RetroMTV Brunch programming block, according to The Huffington Post.
During the 2010 season finale, viewers saw Kristin Cavallari and her longtime love interest, Brody Jenner, part ways in a romantic setting which was later unveiled to be a Hollywood set, raising questions about just how "real" the show actual was.

"The thing is, as you saw on the end -- what's real and what's fake, you don't know," Jenner previously told MTV News after the series ended.
The show featured fan favorite Lauren Conrad, who helped launch the reality TV series after popular teen series "Laguna Beach" ended. Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Lo Bosworth, Heidi Montag and Stephanie Pratt were also featured in the drama-filled show.
Conrad, who left the show in 2009, is expected to make an appearance during the finale alternate ending. Jenner, who previously had relationships with both Conrad and Cavallari, confirmed that fans would get to see Conrad's return.
"One of the other endings, Lauren was in it. She had come back into the show for the last episode. I come back home, and basically Lauren's at my place [and I tell her about saying goodbye to a friend]," Jenner said.
"We filmed this whole lovey-dovey scene as if me and Lauren had been together this entire time. So it was another fun, cool ending. ... I think they thought it would confuse the viewers," he added.
Cavallari, who recently married her longtime partner Jay Cutler, previously made stunning revelations about the reality TV show. The 26-year-old mother-of-one revealed that the show had a series of staged scenes.
Cavallari said that although the show had "fake relationships" and "fake fights ... it was fun," according to Us magazine, adding "because [when] you're acting, it was more fun for me."
The special airing of "The Hills" is reportedly part of the "RetroMTVBrunch," which will see the return of "The Hills" and its predecessor, "Laguna Beach," on MTV during weekday mornings starting July 8.
