'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' Champions Amiibo Set to Be Released in November
Fans of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will have another exciting development to look forward to.
In a recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo confirmed that a new set of Amiibo figures will launch on Nov. 10. The four new figures will showcase the four champions, namely, Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa.
The four champions will play key roles in the upcoming Champions' Ballad DLC, said a Gamespot report. The insertion of the Champions Amiibo in "Breath of the Wild" was first announced during the E3 event last June.
According to IGN, the four Champions are each associated with one of the Divine Beasts in "Breath of the Wild." The four new Amiibo are a strong follow-up to the previous batch composed of Archer Link, Rider Link, Guardian, Zelda, and Bokoblin.
To activate the Amiibo, players must scan them to unlock different kinds of in-game weapons, materials, and other gear. Moreover, players can also unlock some cool headgear that represent the Champions' respective Divine Beast. Daruk's beast is Vah Rudania while Mipha has Vah Ruta. Revali, on the other hand, has Vah Medoh while Urbosa is connected to Vah Neboris.
The Champions' Ballad DLC is scheduled to be released this holiday season, though Nintendo has not yet announced the exact date.
Meanwhile, diehard fans of the hit game can also look forward to a new "Zelda" art book that features solely on "Breath of the Wild. Nintendo of UK confirmed the new art book via Twitter last July, though no specific release date was mentioned.
"Hungry for more #Zelda art? After Arts & Artifacts and Hyrule Encyclopedia, the 3rd book in the series will be all about #BreathOfTheWild!" read the post. Along with the announcement, Nintendo also gave fans a sneak peek of what to expect. They showed images of concept art featuring King Dorephan, the father of Sidon.
Another image depicts Sidon himself, showing a stark difference from his appearance in the video game. The first Zelda art book titled "Hyrule Historia" came out in 2013. It was followed by "The Legend of Zelda: Arts and Artifacts."
