The Walking Dead Season 5 to Feature Another Former 'Wire' Star

Another actor from the HBO series "The Wire" will be joining the cast of "The Walking Dead" in season 5.

TheWrap reports that Seth Gilliam who played Sgt. Ellis Carver from season 1-5 will have a role in the fifth season of the zombie infested series. He will join fellow Wire alum Chad L. Coleman who plays Tyrese and Larry Gilliard Jr. who plays Bob. The former played the role of Dennis "Cutty" Wise in seasons 3-5 of "The Wire" and the latter played D'Angelo Barksdale in the first and second seasons.

There is no word on what character Gilliam will playing.

Season 5 will feature a more ruthless Rick Grimes, according to Robert Kirkman, who commented on a change for the character shortly before the premiere of this year's season finale.

"This Rick Grimes being pushed to his absolute limit. And if you think you've seen that before, you haven't. And the Rick Grimes that comes out of this is really going to shock people," he said.

Season 4 ended with Rick telling the rest of his crew who he was reunited with when they all were captured in the so-called sanctuary Terminus that those who did this to them were "screwing with the wrong people."

He also performed some other graphic acts earlier in the episode to protect his family from a band of killers and rapists.

"The Walking Dead" season 4 Netflix release date will most likely be in the fall of 2014 as it will probably be available right before season 5 debuts.

Fans are scouring the net wanting to know when AMC will let them watch again via the online streaming service. The network basically has to hold out in order to allow for their Blu-ray and DVD versions to sell. If Netflix had it up, less people would be inclined to purchase a physical copy.
