Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Divorce Rumors Untrue, 'It's Perplexing'

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill addressed the recent tabloid fodder over their nearly 20-year marriage this week.

The country music stars have repeatedly shut down rumors that indicate they are headed for a divorce, but the disparaging headlines persist.

"[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason," said Hill, according to People.com.

Additionally, the 46-year-old singer pointed out that shocking headlines sell at today's news outlets.

"I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story," she said.

Nevertheless, Hill and her husband are no strangers to scuttlebutt over their marriage.

"We've been married 17 years and since the first week we were married those things were out," McGraw noted, according to the magazine. "We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it too, so they laugh it off."

Married since 1996, McGraw and Hill share three daughters together; Maggie, Gracie and Audrey.

Before reassuring fans that they are "absolutely not" headed for divorce, the couple opened up about life with their daughters.

"I don't recall high school ever being so busy," Hill said.

Meanwhile, McGraw and Hill disproved rumors that their marriage was in trouble curing the CMA Awards in Nashville, Tenn. earlier this month where they lovingly posed for pictures holding hands and sharing kisses.

However, just weeks before the pair were targeted in headlines that suggest divorce. One story postulated that McGraw was "threatening to walk for good" and headed toward a $135 million divorce, according to the National Enquirer. The sensational headline also speculated over the couple's "sexual chemistry."

A rep for the couple clarified that the rumors were "totally false and ridiculous," reported GossipCop.com.

The couple remains a staple in the country music industry, and they are currently on their Soul2Soul tour together.
