Tim Tebow Sets Record for Rushing by a Quarterback

Tim Tebow yet again defied the odds and won a come from behind game – this time setting a record in the process.

During the first half Tebow struggled mightily, completing just one pass with four minutes to go in the second quarter earning him eight yards as his Denver Broncos were down 10-0.

With the passing game not working, Tebow started running the ball. He rushed 22 times for 67 yards making it the most attempts since the 1950s according to STATS, LLC.

Once Tebow started running, field goal kickers were able to put the ball through the up rights, and eventually Tebow threw for a touchdown.

The game ended with the Broncos defeating the San Diego Chargers in overtime when Matt Prater kicked a game winning field goal.

Tebow wound up with a decent passing day going 9 of 18 with 143 yards and a touchdown.

"This is a special team when you have a bunch of guys that when things aren't going good we get closer instead of pulling apart," Tebow said to the press after the game. "The No. 1 reason we are like that is because we believe in each other, we believe in the coaching staff.

"We played well enough to win, and we'll take that every week - including next week," head coach John Fox said after the game reports Yahoo. "Part of coaching is putting your players in the best positions to take advantage of their abilities, and Timmy's got an outstanding ability.”

He added, “It's something that he's comfortable with, and our team has adapted to it. Right now, it's working in the run portion of our offense. We've still got some growth to do in the passing portion, and we work on that every day. It's baby steps, but we'll get there."

Tebow has become the inspirational leader for his Denver Broncos as he has rallied the team back from the brink of failure countless times each week. Even more so inspirational is his persistence to give God the glory at every opportunity possible.

"If you're married and you have a wife and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife 'I love her' the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and every opportunity?"

"So any time I get an opportunity to tell Him that I love Him or given an opportunity to shout Him out on national TV, I'm gonna take that opportunity," Tebow explained.
