Tsarnaev Buried: 'Compassionate Individual' Volunteers to Bury Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev (VIDEO)
Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried somewhere outside of Massachusetts, according to reports out on Thursday.
A funeral home official has reported that the remains of the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, were removed sometime before midnight Wednesday from the Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors where his body has been since last Friday.
Police have said that a "compassionate individual" had come forward insisting that "we are not barbarians" and volunteered to bury the body.
The development comes after days of deadlock, with nobody wanting to come forward to bury the body of Tsarnaev.
According to reports, Tsarnaev's uncle Ruslan Tsarni, who lives in the United States, has approved of the location. Tsarni had been speaking with funeral home director Peter Stefan about finding a cemetery that was willing to accept the suspected terrorist's remains for burial. However, until late on Wednesday they had been rejected from all cemeteries in the area.
Tsarni of Maryland, has said that he understands why "no one wants to associate their names with such evil events."
The uncle has publicly denounced the acts of his nephews on more than one occasion, stating that they brought shame to the family and the entire Chechen community.
The Tsarnaevs are ethnic Chechens who came to the United States nearly 10 years ago with their parents. However, the boys' parents returned to Dagestan in southern Russia in 2012.
Dzhokhar was captured the evening after his brother Tamerlan was killed and he remains in a prison hospital. Should he be convicted of terrorism, he will potentially face the death penalty.
A statement was released by Worcester police confirming that Tamerlan Tsarnaev had been buried, but officials did not disclose the location. They simply described that he had been buried outside of the city of Worcester.
"As a result of our public appeal for help a courageous and compassionate individual came forward to provide the assistance needed to properly bury the deceased," Worcester police said in a statement on Thursday. "His body is no longer in the city of Worcester and is now entombed."
Tamerlan Tsarnaev died after a shoot-out with police in Watertown, Mass., on April 19.
