Who is Leaving 'Grey's Anatomy'?
Martin Henderson's Dr. Nathan Riggs made a low-key exit on last Thursday's episode of "Grey's Anatomy."
After over two seasons as a series regular on ABC's hit medical drama, Henderson made what is perhaps one of the subtlest exits on the show. Unlike other characters who had to die tragic deaths, this doctor's final scene was of him and Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer) on the beach, ready to start anew in Southern California. Hunt's Iraqi son, Farouk, was also in the picture.
Rigg's last storyline had a lot to do with Farouk. His attempt to bond with Hunt's son led up to the episode's highlight, a new life with Hunt.

"I loved that we were able to give Riggs a happy ending worthy of his character and talent," creator Shonda Rhimes told Deadline in a statement.
In an interview with Deadline, Henderson was asked about the possibility of a comeback, and he said, "I would never close the door to."
He continued, "In my mind, it's been left open-ended enough. This is the third time that Shonda and I have worked together. I think providing an exit for the character where there's a possibility for him to return is always nice."
Henderson said that it was always a short-term commitment, admitting how he has never done long-term creative projects. The actor, who is based in Los Angeles, also admitted that traveling to work was taxing. Additionally, he said how important relationships are to him. He is excited to return to his girlfriend and his dog.
Henderson stars in "Strangers: Prey at Night," a sequel to the 2008 horror flick "The Strangers," along with "Mad Men's" Christina Hendricks. It should hit the big screen sometime next year.
"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
