Will and Kate News: Couple Resembles Prince Charles and Princess Diana in Uluru (PHOTOS)
Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton brought back a lot of memories as they toured Uluru at sunset. The pair posed in the same spot where Prince Charles and Princess Diana posed for pictures in 1983. William and Kate left baby George with his nanny, as the weather was rather hot and the day too long for the eight-month-old.
"It is nice and peaceful there – a beautiful spot," William told reporters. "It is special."
The couple walked on a track with a full entourage of aides, bodyguards, and an Aboriginal guide. However, the guide chose to let the two of them just enjoy their surroundings and take a moment to be together, and possibly remember Williams' parents' trip in 1983.

"We let them have a bit of time to themselves, which is pretty rare on a trip like this," tour guide John Sweeney added.
Sammy Wilson, the Aboriginal tour guide, told them of the history of the Uluru and how it was formed, as well as the history of his people.
"Sammy told them the ancestral story, which relates to how this part of Uluru was formed. That same story was done as a dance at the Cultural Centre. Sammy showed the cave paintings that his grandfather did, which was one of the last paintings done at Uluru," Sweeney said. "They were very interested in everything that was said. They were an absolute pleasure. They were very inquisitive. They said the rock was very impressive. They apologized for not bringing the baby. Sammy said it was alright, that he could come back later on."
In 1983, during their trip to Australia, Prince Charles and Princess Diana walked the same path and posed in the same place for photographs. The royal couple brought then-baby Prince William with them on the tour, and the country has always held a special place in William's heart. Now, for his first trip abroad, baby George is following in his father's footsteps.
