Windows 8 Release: Preview Version Available for Download
Those waiting to get their hands on the new Windows 8 operating system are now able to get a first look by downloading a preview version that has been made available by Microsoft.
It is listed as a pre-beta Windows 8 specifically for developers.
The download includes pre-release software that Microsoft informs the user could change without notice.

The preview version is deemed unstable by the Microsoft site and may not operate the same way the final version will.
Some of its features may not be included in the final version.
The site recommends that those wishing to test out Windows 8 should do so on a device which is already running either Windows Vista or Windows 7.
The user cannot uninstall the Windows 8 preview version from their device.
In order to reinstall their previous operating system the user must have restore or installation media.
Tech blog, dragonblogger.com reviewed the new preview version stating that Windows 8 features a lot of performance improvements.
The system uses less RAM and CPU than Windows 7.
Windows 8 can also run on tablets including x86 processors and shuts down faster using partial hibernation.
Instead of utilizing desktop icons, Windows 8 features a Metro UI which basically works off tiles.
Windows 8 debuted last week at Microsoft’s BUILD conference.
The new system is expected to be released sometime next year and is being aimed specifically at the tablet computer market.
Touch screen is the main arena of interest for Microsoft with its new Windows.
The company hopes to become fierce competition for Apple who currently dominates that tablet market with the iPad.
Windows 8 will run on many different tablets manufactured by various electronic companies.
It also sports a brand new “blue screen of death,” a feature which has not been updated since the early Bill Gates days.
