Wladimir Klitschko Fight Is On Despite Hospitalization of Heavyweight Champ
Wladimir Klitschko has said that his fight will go ahead against Frenchman Jean-Marc Mormeck despite him being taken to hospital just a week before the fight is due to take place.
The world heavyweight boxing champion was taken to hospital Friday complaining of abdominal pains. Once admitted to hospital he had kidney stones removed.
Despite the hospitalization the IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA heavyweight holder claims he is fit and ready for his fight against former cruiserweight world champ Frenchman Mormeck in Dusseldorf Dec. 10.

Klitschko has been training in Austria for the bout, and his preparations had been going smoothly until the abdominal pains started.
The Ukrainian boxer recently won the WBA belt from Britain’s David Haye in the summer; in a bout he won by a points decision. Wladimir now possesses four of the heavyweight belts, but is unlikely to ever join boxing legends of the past to become the undisputed world heavyweight champion, as his brother Vitali currently holds the last remaining WBC belt. Disappointingly for the boxing world the two apparently best heavyweight boxers in the current era refuse to fight each other. Numerous boxing critics currently complain of the lackluster nature of the present crop of heavyweight boxers.
