Woman Regrets 56 Face Tattoos (PHOTO)

A 21-year-old Belgian woman is still extremely regretful three years after having 56 star tattoos inked onto her face, and her hopes of having them removed by laser surgery are all but gone.

Kimberley Vlaminck, who was 18 at the time of the procedure, had initially denied asking tattooist, Rouslan Toumaniantz, to tattoo 56 stars onto her face and even threatened legal action after claiming that she had only asked for 3, according to Mail Online.

"It is terrible for me. I cannot go out on to the street. I look like a freak," Vlaminck initially told Mail Online, insisting that she had fallen asleep during the procedure.

Vlaminick then said that she had lied about the entire incident, admitting that she did in fact ask Toumaniantz, who offered to help pay for laser surgery, for 56 facial tattoos but lied out of fear.

"I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious. So I said I fell asleep and that the tattooist had made a mistake," Vlaminck told a Dutch TV crew.

Toumaniantz then retracted his offer to help pay towards the $14,000 that Vlaminick claimed that she needed to have the laser removal performed.

Vlaminick had hoped to have the design removed with laser surgery, which is often performed over the course of several months, by the end of September although three years later the dark tattoos are still highly visible across her face.

While Toumaniantz is unhappy that Vlaminick is dissatisfied with the job he did, he says that he has no regrets.

"Kimberley is unhappy and it is not my wish to have an unsatisfied client. I don't regret it. To tell you the truth, this has given me some publicity," Toumaniantz said.

He now requires that all clients provide written consent before he performs any tattoo procedures.
