X-Men Days of Future Past Trailer Revealed, Featuring Wolverine, Professor Xavier, and Magneto (VIDEO)
Upcoming superhero thriller, X-Men: Days of Future Past, released its trailer this morning, and from the brief preview; it looks like it will be even better than the previous installments.
The video description reads:
"The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original 'X-Men' film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from 'X-Men: First Class,' in an epic battle that must change the past -- to save our future."
The trailer shows the older movie X-Men characters looking to go back into the past to prevent some sort of war. Focusing mainly on the characters of Wolverine and Professor Xavier as they free Magneto in order to send Wolverine back in time to warn the younger versions of themselves of the impending danger.
"Though there is a great deal of humor, the overall tone is a bit darker than previous films, particularly because of the stakes," said Director Bryan Singer on Twitter.
Returning from the original X-Men franchise are: Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Patrick Stewart (Professor Xavier), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Halle Berry (Storm), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Ellen Page (Shadowcat), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus) along with X-Men: First Class cast members: James McAvoy (Young Professor Xavier), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), and Michael Fassbender (Young Magneto).
Singer also revealed a few new characters will make their way into the movie as well, reports Collider.com. The new film will introduce Bishop, Quicksilver, Sunspot, Blink, and Ink.
Many fans are clamoring for X-Men: Days of Future Past because of the major success of First Class, and the favorable following of the first two X-Men films in 2000 and 2003. Importantly, it would bring back the characters that many felt were butchered in the 2006, Last Stand, which is a comic book fans worst nightmare of a movie.
The next X-Men will be released by Fox on May 23rd, 2014.
