Xbox One Controllers: Console Can Support 8 Players at Once
Microsoft's Xbox One will be able to support up to eight wireless controllers at one time, doubling the standard amount of players by four over its predecessors.
Microsoft said the controllers will also have a 30 foot wireless range and will work with the Kinect in sensing the placement of the controller.

According to the Inquirer, the Xbox One comes with one controller, and Microsoft is trying to develop a way for old 360 controllers to be compatible for the new console.
The new controller will retail for $60, and will work with two AA batteries or a Charge and Play kit, which is sold separately.
Microsoft also recently announced the Xbox One controller will be a compatible option for PC gamers in the near future.
Microsoft said that feature will not be available until sometime in 2014, according to PCWorld.com.
The new controller runs completely wirelessly and has a Micro-USB output for battery use. All these features would have to be formatted for PC use, reported CVG.
"We know people want to use the Xbox One controller on their PC, and we do too-we expect to have the functionality available in 2014," a Microsoft representative told CVG.
The Xbox 360 had a controller that worked for the PC, but it had to be purchased separately from one directly related to the system. This new feature for the controller will be compatible for both regardless of the model.
