YouTube Gets A Makeover, Connects to Facebook and Twitter

YouTube renovated its website with a simpler look last Thursday.

The Website gave itself a digital facelift in order to make it a little more user friendly.

“We want to make it easier for you to find and keep tabs of what you watch,” YouTube posted on its blog.

The video search engine presented the essence of its new look in three ways.

A new homepage, channels that are easier to customize, and an overall new design that’s easier to navigate through it all.

The renovated look is designed for users to be able to find and follow content as soon as they arrive at the homepage.

The Website accomplishes easier use of finding and following content with a tool bar at the left of the screen that enables users to customize their own content.

Users can connect their Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ accounts, as well as subscribe to their own Channels of interest.

There are many channels to choose from including top blogs, animation, comedy, gaming and music.

As many are available now, many more will continue to come, according to the Website.

Whatever channel the user selects is readily available to be taken advantage of whenever the homepage is accessed.

With the ability to share content more easily with Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, Youtube is not only more user friendly, its more social friendly, too.

Forbes described YouTube’s new look as having a “distinct social element to it.”

All of the dynamic new changes are part of the biggest renovation Youtube has taken on since Google bought the site for $1.76 billion fives years ago, according to AP.

After taking on all the new changes, including its fervent popularity for music users, Forbes reports that YouTube could potentially threaten online video streamers like Netflix.

YouTube has more than 300 billion daily users.
