Viewers will recall that in Episode 4 of Season 8 of ABC's "Castle," Rick Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, is doing well by solving a murder case as well as a case of mistaken identity. Beckett, played by Stana Katic, however, remains unimpressed by this, showing a stubborn streak.

The synopsis for 'The Nose' says that when a rare painting is stolen and a person is killed during the robbery, Castle investigates the case. There is a witness to the crime but she is more than just an ordinary witness who tells investigators what she sees. She has a keen sense of smell that she believes she can sniff out the murderer. The witness is played by guest star Stephnie Weir ("The Comedians").

The woman will have a firm belief that she can sniff out the murderer just like a dog with her powers of superior smelling sense.

Now, viewers know that Rick Castle is a very liberal guy with an open mind and is willing to try things so he is ok with the whole game of this woman helping him to catch the murderer.

The promo that was released for the episode shows the woman smelling Beckett who has been newly appointed as Captain in the precinct. After sniffing at Beckett, the woman tells a relieved Castle, "She's clearly got the hots for you!"

This makes Castle happy as his hopes of getting his wife back rise. But can Castle trust his star witness?
