'Agent Carter' Season 2 – On to LA this season, Jarvis doesn't approve, leads to comic situations.
"Agent Carter" Season 2 moves to the glamorous and laidback LA when Peggy is told to go to Los Angeles for her next case. When Peggy goes to Los Angeles, Jarvis is already there helping Howard Stark, Tony Stark's father, to set up a movie business. Jarvis thoroughly disapproves of this project and his persona clashes with the glamorous, laidback, chic LA style. This is going to bring in situational humour in "Agent Carter" Season 2.
According to Digital Spy, there is also speculation that Anna Jarvis, Jarvis' wife, might show up. Although not much is known about her, it would be good to have another woman with Peggy since she is close to Jarvis and she is mostly the only woman investigating a murder. So yes, having a female confidante could be helpful to the heroine.
Showrunner Michele Fazekas at the Comic Con 2015 had shared her thoughts about why LA was chosen as the location for the next season. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said, "What I love about LA that is different than New York is you have the spectacular wealth and glamour and beauty right next to the grit and crime, often right up against each other. So I love telling those stories. I love ugly things happening in beautiful places. We're very much being inspired by noir films."
The creators also thought that Peggy and Jarvis go well together. The problem was to create a credible space for both of them to be together and bring a comic element in Season 2. Fazekas tells Entertainment Weekly, "We love Peggy and Jarvis together, that's a really important relationship, how do we keep them together? And LA has provided us a really nice, organic way to do so." They found a reason for bringing Jarvis to LA by having him help Howard Stark set up his business.
James D'Arcy, who plays Jarvis, has said that the comedy will arise from the fact that one of them loves the sand and the open-car culture of LA whereas the other hates this.
But they're not just there for fun and executive producer Tara Butters reminds fans of that fact by telling Digital Spy, "Peggy will be investigating a murder, and the investigation ends up being a much bigger, more Marvel-y subject matter."
"Agent Carter" Season 2 will go on air again on January 2016.
