'American Horror Story: Hotel' – You can check in but cannot check out
The trailer of "American Horror Story: Hotel" is sure to creep viewers out. One of the new teasers is called "Dropped Call" and shows a hotel maid pushing her cart along one of the hotel's hallways. She picks up a sheet that is red and bloodied and a phone falls down. Viewers will see that a call had been made to 911. By this, viewers know all too well that no one gets out of this hotel. People can check in but cannot check out.
The trailer has blonde vampire kids floating about – so that means the bloodsuckers are back. Previously, "American Horror Story" had terrified viewers with Rubber Man, Bloodyface from Asylum, the Twisty Clown from 'Freak Show' and Infantata, that Frankenstein baby. The vampire kids are more disturbing – how can kids be such terrifying bloodsuckers?
"Hotel" will be the fifth story in the new-horror genre that "American Horror Story" has created. It was "Glee" co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk who created this anthology series.
In this season, Lady Gaga plays "The Countess" who owns this hotel. Kathy Bates plays Iris who helps the Countess run the hotel. The guests include Angela Bassett, who plays Ramona and has a romantic past with the Countess; Finn Wittrock playing Tristan, a model and the current lover of the Countess; Cheyenne Jackson playing Will Drake, a so-called fashion icon; Matt Bomer is Donovan, Iris' son; and Sarah Poulson is Hypodermic Sally, a junkie.
Evan Peters is Mr. James March, the 1930's owner of the Hotel Cortez.
Reportedly, Emma Roberts is joining the cast of this Horror Hotel. She is known for her role of Madison Montgomery from "Coven." She is so excited, she told Entertainment Weekly, "It's just everything you could dream of and more. Everything you could nightmare about and more. Everyone's in for a great shock."
Ryan Murphy, executive producer of the show, has revealed that previous characters from past seasons will put in appearances in the hotel.
Wes Bentley is John Lowe, the nosy detective investigating a series of murders. He has checked into the hotel with his wife Alex, played by Chloe Sevigny.
With such diverse characters inside the hotel who can't get out, the season of "American Horror Story: Hotel" is one tight, scary check-in.
Viewers can catch the season premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
