Atlanta Falcons Roster News 2015: Falcons Hold 'Players-Only' Meeting in Response to Losing Skid

It has become a popular trend in American professional sports for players in a team to hold their own meeting after a setback like when they're on a losing skid. That's what exactly the Atlanta Falcons did after a once promising and hot start to a season is rapidly turning into a disaster.

Players held a "players-only" meeting to address the team's alarming skid wherein they see themselves on track of losing a fifth game in a row after starting undefeated. Several news outlets reported about the meeting but not a single one of them could provide details and specifics on what was on the meeting's agenda.

If one is to bet on it, though, it is likely that everyone wants to share his opinion on the mediocre offense the team is currently facing. In those four losses so far, the Falcons have turned the ball over more than any other team in the NFL in a defeat. And it couldn't be denied that quarterback Matt Ryan is the center of all this, considering that he's the focal point of the offense.

Ryan said that he may not be performing the way he's supposed to the past couple of games, but he's sure he can redeem himself. "I know that I'm capable of doing it, and I believe that I'm going to do it every time we step onto the field. You have to believe in your ability. You have to believe in the guys around you," he said.

Several reports came in revealing that the meeting was held on Tuesday, also serving as a preparation for the team in their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The Falcons are currently 6-5, a big difference to the 5-0 start they enjoyed to start the year. Although no member of the coaching staff was involved in the meeting, head coach Dan Quinn, however, was already aware of it.
