'Bachelor' Juan Pablo Galavis Promises His Season Will be Different From All Others

Juan Pablo Galavis, 32, is all set to be the new "Bachelor" when the new season premieres on Jan. 6. He promises that his season will be very different from all other seasons, including a contestant who appears to be seven months pregnant.

Galavis starred on this past season of "The Bachelorette" but was ultimately rejected by Desiree Hartsock. However, fans fell in love with the former Venezuelan soccer player and he was selected to be the new "Bachelor" for the upcoming season, sending fans everywhere swooning.

"There's going to be a lot of Latino things in the show," Galavis told People magazine. "It's going to be a lot of food, a lot of dancing, a lot of stuff. It's going to be so different. You're going to love it."

Galavis is a single dad to 5-year-old Camila, and he made it a point not to include her in the show. He wanted to protect her from all the publicity and possible confusion that surrounds a reality TV show.

"I don't need approval from her; she's going to be 5. When I'm dating on a regular basis, whenever possible, I introduce my girlfriend as a friend of Daddy's. I don't tell her, 'This is my girlfriend.' We don't hold hands, we don't kiss, we don't sleep over, we don't do anything in front of my daughter. I don't want her to grow up seeing [that]. Obviously if I'm getting married, I would be like, 'This is the one [who] could be your stepmom. Camila's not going to watch the show. It's not worth involving her in the process of daddy going out with 27 women," Galavis explained.

"Bachelorette" Emily Maynard brought her daughter Ricki on the show during the final episodes to see how she got along with one of the finalists, Jef Holm, who she eventually ended up engaged to. Unfortunately, things did not work out between Maynard and Holm, and the two broke up.

Galavis' season premieres on ABC on Jan. 6.
