'Bachelorette' Host Doesn't Think Desiree and Chris Will Get Married

It's only been a few days since the world learned that "Bachelorette" Desiree Hartsock chose Chris Siegfried to spend the rest of her life with, but the show's host, Chris Harrison, has said he doesn't think the couple will make it down the aisle.

"I mean, let's be honest," Harrison told E! News. "What are the odds? Most relationships don't make it down the aisle. They just don't. We've been on a good run lately with Ashley [Hebert] and J.P. [Rosenbaum] and I'm fully convinced Sean [Lowe] and Catherine [Giudici] are going to get married soon. But married? I don't know. The odds are no, but you never know."

The likelihood of marriage for the "Bachelorette" is quite low if one bases it on the history of the series. There have only been a handful of successful marriages and a record number of break-ups. Fans were skeptical of Hartsock's decision, given her devotion to bachelor Brooks, who broke her heart just before Siegfried proposed.

"Chris is the man I could love my entire life," Hartsock told the audience during the live finale. "Chris was always there and I was always falling in love with him."

Yet during throughout the season, Hartsock seemed fixated on having a relationship with Brooks. He, however, did not feel the same way and in the end, left her heartbroken in Antigua. Hartsock was not even certain she wanted to continue on with the last two suitors, Chris and Drew. Yet she did, and ended up engaged to Siegfried.

"It was a perfect storm I guess because any other man may have folded under jealousy or the pressure but [Chris is] not that man," Harrison said. "It kind of empowered him, I think, to stand by her and that's true love I guess."

Fans will have the opportunity to see the couple together and judge for themselves whether they think they'll make it down the aisle on Monday night, when ABC airs "After the Rose."
