Ciara and Russell Wilson wish to remain celibate – for religious reasons!
Without doubt, Russell Wilson and Ciara are fast becoming one of the most popular and talked about couples in both the sports and entertainment world. The pair of multi-millionaires have been successful in their own fields. Russell is a successful quarterback and Ciara is a singer and songwriter who has been nominated for five Grammys and has one under her belt. So what's different about this couple? Well, for starters, they have chosen to remain celibate because of religious reasons!
29-year-old Ciara began dating 26-year-old Russell Wilson, who is the Seattle Seahawks quarterback, in April. This gorgeous couple made headlines when they candidly declared their no-sex policy, which they opted for because of religious reasons. Ciara told E! News that choosing and remaining a celibate couple is a "great challenge" that allows them to build a more solid foundation for their friendship. Ciara says about Russell, "He's really the best friend I could possibly have!"
It was Russell Wilson who first went public with their policy of remaining celibate. In July, when Wilson was in a conversation with Pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church, near San Diego, he commented that he and Ciara had decided to abstain.

Ciara has no problems that Russell went public over this very private part of their lives. In fact, she supported his decision. When asked about it, during the MTV Video Music Awards, Ciara said, "You know, when Russell talked about it, he was being honest. For what it's worth I think there are so many people like us. We get to share real things. We're real people.
She added, "I run into different people and they'll talk to me about their journey and their relationships, so I think that's been really cool and it's a healthy thing. It's a healthy conversation we all get to have as adults. I'm not sweating it at all."
