According to reports Dasani Drops will come in a container containing 32 servings, and will allow consumers to choose from four different flavors. Therefore, instead of consumers having to decide to purchase just one flavor and then be confined to that taste, they can choose what flavor they want at the time, and do so at a much lower cost.

It is believed that Coca-Cola flavor drops will sell for approximately $4 when the product is launched in October, and will initially come with four flavors, however, the company will be releasing various other flavors in the coming year depending on popularity.

John Roddey, vice president of Coca-Cola's water, tea and coffee business in North America, has said: "I think there's an opportunity beyond just flavored waters."

Kraft Food has previously launched a similar product in March 2011 as a liquid beverage enhancer. That product comes with nine different flavors.

It is believed that the launch of the product will see a sharp rise in the sales of bottle water, as people take advantage of the chance to create their distinctive flavors with them.
