'Crazy Justice' to Offer Cross-Play Features Between Xbox One and Switch

Much has been written and said regarding cross-play features among some of the world's leading gaming consoles. Though there are still some gaming giants who are not keen on the idea, another game jumped into the mix and opened its doors to cross-play.

Game developer Black Riddles announced via Twitter that "Crazy Justice" will offer cross-play for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This means that owners of any of the three platforms will get to play with other gamers using the Xbox One, Switch, or PC.

The news also drew support from Xbox Boss Phil Spencer who re-tweeted Black Riddle's announcement.

According to a Gamespot report, the game is in the middle of raising funds via the Fig website. It has so far reached more than $29,000, which is around 96 percent of its goal of $30,000. The Fig website offers rewards-based backing and investment opportunities via crowdfunding.

When it comes to Microsoft's stand on cross-play, Xbox boss Phil Spencer had always been vocal concerning his support for the idea. Back in September, game developer Epic opened the feature on its sandbox action game, "Fortnite." The celebration, however, was cut short as Epic put down the feature and called it a "configuration issue."

With gamers reacting to the development, some asked Spencer what he thought of the whole issue. In response, the Xbox honcho responded via Twitter, saying "I would have liked to see them leave it on."

Back in 2016, Microsoft also expressed its willingness to work with other networks in terms of cross-play. Such networks include its major competitors, namely, the PlayStation Network and Nintendo's online service.

ID@Xbox director Chris Charla also said that they are enabling developers to support cross-network gaming. This will enable Windows 10 and Xbox One users to play and compete with other gamers via the Xbox Live.

"Of course, it's up to game developers to support this feature, and Xbox Live players will always have the option of choosing to play only with other Xbox Live players," Charla explained in a post on Xbox Wire.
