'Destiny 2' Unlock Time and Full Specs for PC Revealed
Gamers who are itching to play "Destiny 2" on PC only have to wait a few more days.
Game developer Bungie announced the game's unlock time, which is slated for Oct. 24. Moreover, they also revealed the final spec requirements for gamers to get their PCs ready for the game's full release.
"Now that you know when the games will begin, you probably want to make sure your PC is ready to go," wrote Bungie in a post. "We gave you some minimum and recommended specs for the Beta in a previous update. Now we have an updated chart for you to check out before the full release on October 24 at retail stores and digitally via the Blizzard Battle.net app," they added.
Gamespot reported that servers will become live on the 24th beginning 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. As for the PC requirements, Bungie laid out both the minimum and recommended specs for PC owners. For starters, gamers who want to play under minimum specs should have an Intel Core i3-3250 3.5 GHz or Intel Pentium G4560 3.5 GHz CPU. They can also opt for an AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz.
As for the GPU, they should have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB, GTX 1050 2 GB, or an AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB. Meanwhile, the game also requires a 6 GB RAM, 68 GB of available hard drive space, and a Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system.
For players who want to enjoy topnotch gaming experience, their PCs should have any of the following CPUs: Intel Core i5-2400 3.4 GHz, i5 7400 3.5 GHz, or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X 3.6 GHz. For the GPU, they should have Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4 GB, or GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD R9 390 8 GB.
When it comes to the RAM, the recommended specs demand a bigger 8 GB while the operating system requires a Windows 10 64-bit. Hard drive space still remains the same at 68 GB.
