Evelyn Lozada Takes 19-Year-Old Fan to Prom (PHOTO)

Evelyn Lozada, the 37-year-old entrepreneur and star of "Basketball Wives," recently attended a high school prom for the first time with a 19-year-old fan.

Lozada was asked to attend the prom of a Michigan high school student last year and obliged. The popular reality television star and Christian shared the experience with fans, which she called exciting.

"I just attended West Bloomfield High School's prom in Bloomfield, MI at the Detroit Country Club," Lozada revealed on her personal website evelynlozada.com. " Last year, out the blue, my Twitter follower Anthony Nelson, a Senior at West Bloomfield High School, asked me to be his prom date via Twitter and naturally, I said YES!"

The reality television star revealed why the moment meant so much to her.

"Unfortunately, I couldn't attend my prom when I was in high school because I was pregnant with my daughter Shaniece, but this was such an awesome experience and I was so honored," Lozada wrote on her website.

The reality television star thanked her stylist, publicist and prom date for the experience.

"I want to thank Anthony and his mom Sean Nelson for opening their home to me! Anthony's entire family and friends came by his house to see him off to prom and it was amazing, he even bought me a corsage," Lozada wrote. " I've never had a corsage! You guys don't understand how HAPPY I was!! My date was decked out in a custom made tuxedo and black Chanel shoes looking as handsome as ever."

Nelson took to his own Twitter account to express his excitement about bringing Lozada to his prom.

"Had a good time with @EvelynLozada , I know that some people thought this wasn't gonna happen i know yall sick," Nelson tweeted Wednesday.

Lozada seemed to echo the same sentiments about the experience on her website.

"OMG! Can I say THE BEST TIME EVER," the reality television star exclaimed.
