Expendables 3 Cast: Kelsey Grammer Joins Action Crew as Unlikeliest Member

Kelsey Grammer will be joining the star-studded cast of Expendables 3 as probably one of the most unlikely additions to the franchise.

Yahoo news reports Grammer will be playing the role of a mercenary named Bonaparte. The casting was originally intended for Nicolas Cage, but he turned it down.

Although Grammer is best known for his roles as Frasier Crane in both Cheers and Frasier from 1984 to 2004, many consider him a versatile enough actor to convincingly pull this off.

Willis played the role of CIA agent Church in the first two films, and had a bigger role in "Expendables 2."

The new movie is expected to be out Nov. 15, 2014 according to Freep.com, and will be distributed by Lionsgate Studios.

"Expendables 2" was released August 2012, and made $300 million starring a slew of '80s and '90s action stars.

Besides Grammer, Stallone, and Ford, the cast list so far includes: Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Antonio Banderas, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, and Terry Crews.
