'Fixer Upper' Stars Chip and Joanna Gaines Dismiss Divorce Rumors Anew

With all the success Chip and Joanna Gaines are experiencing as of late, nasty rumors continue to hound the couple.

In an interview with Today's Jenna Bush Hager, the "Fixer Upper" stars gladly shared how they deal with controversies being thrown at them. One of the most annoying, no doubt, is the divorce rumors that have been swirling for months.

Hager asked the couple how they manage all the mud being thrown at them. "You're not movie stars. You didn't grow up in the spotlight. Are you prepared for these types of things?" asked Hager. The couple quickly answered with a "no."

"It's funny, I mean, when I think about these circumstances, I think they're hilarious," Chip said. He stressed that he couldn't believe that things like these are happening to them and that he was surprised there are people who care about those issues.

Joanna, on the other hand, shared that she usually gets caught off guard whenever some ask here about a certain rumor. "I think for me, even from the beginning, just because I don't do great with seeing that kind of stuff, reading into it, I just don't know what's going on," said Joanna.

"So then I'll hear someone come up to me and say, 'I hear you and Chip are getting a divorce.' I'm like, 'Where did you hear [that]?' I don't know any of this is going on," Joanna added. Furthermore, she also said that they make it a point to inform people what the real score is.

Meanwhile, the Gaineses' rental venture is off to a very strong start. Fox News reported that The Magnolia House property has already sold out its reservations for the first half of 2018. The slots reportedly went flying in just seven minutes, while the reservations for the rest of 2017 were all booked in just five minutes last February.

Back in July, the couple announced that they will open a second property for rent, called "Hillcrest Estate." The house carries a rich tradition as it traces its history back to 1903 when it was built.
