'Fixer Upper' Stars Chip and Joanna Gaines Put Marriage, Family Before TV Show

Much has been said about Chip and Joanna Gaines and their decision to end their "Fixer Upper" TV show after season 5. The couple, however, has been very clear regarding the reason behind the tough decision.

According to a report from US Weekly, the Gaineses' reason for ending their hit TV series is their family. "They don't want anything to affect their marriage," shared a source to US Weekly. "They want to focus on raising their kids and being a family since their kids are getting older," the source added.

Moreover, another source who knew the couple stressed that the couple's strong marriage and relationship are as real as can get. They're both so genuine and just great people," said the insider. "They act just like they do when the cameras are rolling. It's all real; they're not fake at all," the insider continued.

The Gaineses are like the opposites of another HGTV tandem, Tarek and Christina El Moussa. The two split last year and have already filed for divorce. Despite the bitter breakup, the two still decided to get back on screen for another season of "Flip or Flop."

As for Chip and Joanna, the two are doing their best to maintain a simple and uncomplicated life. "They're regular people. Their kids are regular kids, and I think they want to raise them like that," shared another source to US Weekly.

With "Fixer Upper's" impending end, HGTV recently confirmed a new show that will fill in the void, at least for Texas-based fans. The network announced on its official website a new series called "Flip or Flop Ft. Worth." A spin-off of the El Moussa's reality show, the new series will feature real-life couple Andy and Ashley Williams as they purchase old properties for flipping in Ft. Worth, Texas.

"With tight budgets and tighter timelines, every house is a bumpy ride from the buy to the fix to the sell," read the show's description.

"Flip or Flop Ft. Worth" airs Nov. 2 on HGTV.
