Galaxy Note 3 Rose Gold Model Headed to Verizon, Release Confirmed

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rose Gold model will be released on Verizon soon.

A listing for this version showed up on Samsung's U.S. website and also revealed that this color will be exclusive to Verizon in the U.S. Rumors of this Rose Gold model first surfaced back in Dec. as it was expected to hit the Chinese market.

With those rumors two Rose Gold models appeared including one with a black/gold look and the other with a white/gold look. The new listing points to the white gold version being available on the carrier.

Aside from a color change, most of the Galaxy Note 3's other features will remain the same.

The Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update source code is now available. Samsung released the official kernel source earlier this past weekend.

This is great news for developers anxious to create apps for the device running the latest version of Android software. It also allows them to build custom ROMs for the phablet. Those unfamiliar with app builds and ROMs should steer clear of this source code as they could potentially mess up their devices.

A Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update is already available for T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon in the form of a new ROM.

CyanogenMod 11 is now available for all of those carrier versions. Users can access the update by downloading the CM11 nightly build. The GSM and AT&T versions have not received the ROMs yet.

The build is based on the latest version of KitKat which is Android 4.4.2. This software should be installed with caution as it could void the device's warrantee or erase saved data.

Samsung has already begun rolling out the official update in other parts of the world. It still may take a long time before it hits the States.
