Galaxy S4 Zoom Release Date Scheduled for Nov. 8 on AT&T, Price Set for $199

AT&T announced a release date for the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The carrier will be one of the first in the U.S. to offer the device and will begin doing so on Nov. 8. The camera-based Samsung flagship will retail for $199 with a new contract or will cost $25 a month on AT&T Next Installment plans. The carrier is also offering a free Galaxy Tab 3 for those purchasing the tab.

"For a limited time, Galaxy S4 zoom customers can take advantage of two amazing promotional offers," wrote AT&T. "Those purchasing the Galaxy S4 zoom with a two-year contract or on AT&T Nextsminstallment agreement and qualified voice and data plans can get a Galaxy Tab 3 for free."

AT&T Mobile Share will allow customers to add the Galaxy Tab 3 to an existing Mobile Share plan for $10 more per month. This plan allows up to 10 devices to share data without needed to purchase separate plans for each one.

Specifications for the Galaxy S4 Zoom include a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with 960 x 540 resolution, 1.5GB RAM, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 16-megapixel camera with 10x Optical Zoom, a 1.9-megapixel front camera, Bluetooth, NFC, a 2330mAh battery, and Android 4.2, JellyBean.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with Smart Mode and Smart Mode Suggest, which helps users take better photos without worrying about technical problems on the device.

The Zoom is one of three variants that were released of the company's flagship device this year. The others being the water proof and dust proof Galaxy S4 Active and the original Galaxy S4 model.
