'Grimm' Season 5 News: Episode 16 Spoilers Tease Preacher Getting Possessed; NBC Greenlights Season 6

A couple of good news arrives this week for NBC's hit supernatural drama TV series "Grimm." For one, Season 5 will continue with a brand new episode that will see an evangelist who uses his unique Wesen abilities to increase the members of his congregation. Meanwhile, the cable network released an announcement confirming what many fans have hoped for the show.

According to the synopsis published over at the Grimm Wikia website, an evangelical preacher will make use of his hidden Wesen identity to convince more people to join his group. When things eventually got out of hand, Nick and Hank were immediately called to look into the supernatural case.

The promo trailer for the episode titled "The Believer" shows some of the terrifying events that take place inside the preacher's tent revival. The clip shows the pastor transforming into some grotesque figure. What seems to be interesting is the fact that the audience didn't even nudge with what is unfolding in front of them. In the next scenes, the entity can be seen wreaking havoc in downtown Portland.

Nick deduces that the preacher could be possessed by the devil. He then rushes towards the monster and tackles him down.

In another development, Capt. Renard is now starting to mobilize his plan in taking control of the whole town. Meanwhile, Eve will be forced to tap the old ways to gain access to the Black Claw.

In related news, NBC announced that it has already renewed the drama for Season 6.

"We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons," Jennifer Salke, President of NBC Entertainment said, according to Variety. "They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can't wait to see what comes next."

As further detailed by the media outlet, the current season of the show is averaging 1.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.4 million viewers overall in "live plus seven day" results done by Nielsen Media Research.

"Grimm" Season 5 airs every Fridays, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
