'GTA 5' Valentine's Day DLC Leak: Data Mining Yields Fruit
Developer Rockstar Games had previously teased that new content will be coming to "Grand Theft Auto V" this month. Now, some fans have leaked information believed to be from the upcoming DLC.
Late last month, Rockstar posted an update on "GTA V" Drop Zone Adversary Mode on its official website. At the end of the post, the developer told fans to "keep an eye on GTA Online next month for some items you're sure to fall in love with."
Fans and followers alike speculate that Rockstar is referring to an upcoming Valentine's Day content. Rockstar has yet to provide details or any hint on what the upcoming content will really be, though.
However, a fan could have the answer the "GTA V" community is looking for. Thanks to data mining, Redditor gurkdjur has shed some light on what this upcoming content could possibly be.
Snooping around the latest "GTA V" update, the Redditor found a DLC called "mpvalentines2." The files include a new car and new clothes that fit the upcoming Valentine's Day ocassion.
The new car called "btype3" appeared to be a remodeled Roosevelt. It is described as:
"They don't make them like they used to, which is a good thing because here at Albany we've completely run out of ideas. Lovingly remodelled, with room for a new suite of personal modifications, the latest edition of our classic Roosevelt represents a new height of criminal refinement, taking you back to the golden age of fraud, racketeering and murder when all you had to worry about were a few charges of tax evasion."
There are also a bunch of clothing articles, including men's fedora and women's underwear, that come in different colors and patterns. Videos (below) showing these clothing items have also been leaked online.
In addition to these information, previous leaks have indicated that the DLC will have two adversary modes called Rhino Hunt and Till Death Do Us Part.
There are also rumors saying that the Valentine's Day content will be coupled with the Lowriders Part 2 DLC. The speculation is based on how Rockstar had previously released its recent updates and expansion packs. In November, the developer rolled out the Lowriders Part 1 DLC with "GTA V's" Halloween DLC. After that, Rockstar paired the Festive Surprise with Executives and Other Criminals DLC.
"GTA V" fans will have to wait for Rockstar's confirmation regarding these rumors.
