The show will return this week with a brand new episode that will see the team hunting down an illegal slave trade which they inadvertently discovered following a retrieval operation. Meanwhile, a big announcement further determines the fate of the show in the airwaves.

According to Hawaii News Now, "Hawaii Five-O" has been officially renewed by the network for yet another season. The show is just one of the 11 series being given with the greenlight for the 2016-2017 season. The other titles are "Blue Bloods," Elementary," and "The Amazing Race," just to name a few.

For the meantime, the drama will continue this Friday with Episode 18 titled "The Hunter." In a bid to identify the man, they conducted an investigation. The trail eventually leads them to some shocking revelations about a "deadly slave trade operating aboard an illegal fishing vessel." Will the officers be able to successfully pin down the organization behind this horrifying business? What trouble awaits them in this mission?

In another development, Danny (Scott Caan), will be a victim of a carjacking. The situation will prompt him to chase down the thieves. He does so by taking over a public transport bus.

In related news, series star Julie Benz dropped a few details about her character, Abby Dunn, with TVLine.  According to the actress, she really has to keep the true identity of her character from her castmates.

"I had to keep a big secret, and I felt terrible about that. [Laughs] [The secrecy was] because they wanted to incorporate shots of me watching Chin and have the audience interpret it in the moment as "Abby's falling in love with him," but in hindsight as "She's observing him," she told the media outlet.

Of course, everything was laid into the open when in Abby finally succumbed to her feelings with Danie Dae Kim's alter ego.

"Hawaii Five-O" Season 6 Episode 18 premieres this Friday, Apr. 1 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
