Honey Boo Boo and 'Crazy' Family Shake Things Up on New TLC Show
TLC aired a new show titled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," that follows the life of 6-year old beauty pageant contestant Alana Thompson.
The child made her television debut on the network's hit show "Toddlers and Tiaras" and stood out with viewers due to her energetic and expressive personality.
Her new show also chronicles the life of the Thompson family, which includes Alana's mother June, and sisters Jessica and Anna who also appeared on "Toddlers and Tiaras" alongside the child star.

"America kind of wanted to know what our life was like outside of the pageant world, and this show will portray that," said June in an interview with CNN.
"We do a lot of mud bogging, four-wheel riding, going to community events," she added, describing the Thompson family's lifestyle. "Viewers will still see the preparation for pageants, but it's mainly focused on the Thompson family and the crazy things we do to pass the time by. I think America will get the gist of who we actually are."
June was criticized for her decision to showcase her family on television, but this has not affected her choice to carry on with the show in the least. She feels confident in their entertainment value.
"My family is crazy and- like, crazy. We're not boring," June said. "People have opinions, but if people actually sit down and talk with me and my family or talk with Alana, you'll see that Alana thoroughly enjoys doing what she does, and that we're not ignorant people like everybody says."
June also has no problem calling it quits if Alana decides that she is tired of the pageant and showbiz lifestyle.
"We may do it for the next six months, we may end it next month," she continued. "When [Alana] doesn't want to do TV or pageants, then we quit everything and go back to our normal lives."
"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" began airing at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
