HP Chromebook 11 Price Set for $379 for LTE Model, Device Returns to Google Play

The HP Chromebook 11 is now available in a new LTE model at Best Buy for $379.

The device is also once again available in Google Play for its regular $279 tag for the Wi-Fi only version.

The HP Chromebook was removed from the online retailer due to issues with overheating and charger problems. It originally launched in October. The recall affected 145,000 units, however, HP did a great job corrected the problem by shipping out replacement chargers and a $25 gift card to customers having problems with the hardware.

The Chromebook can be purchased in various colors in the Play Store except white/blue. It is listed as in stock and will ship in 1-2 business days.

The LTE-enabled model is currently available at Best Buy for $379. Those who purchase this version will need to sign up with Verizon in order to use it. The always on connectivity it provides is a great benefit to any user, but this model will not work in areas that do not have access to the company's 4G LTE network.

The HP Chromebook 11 launched towards the end of last year and features some impressive specs that include a Samsung Exynos 5250 ARM SoC, 2GB RAM, an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, a 16GB SSD, a dual-band 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, 2x USB 2.0 ports and a battery rated for about six hours of life. It also supports USB charging via a microUSB port and weighs just 2.3 pounds making it extremely portable.

The laptop originally came with 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years, 60-days of free Google Play Music All Access and 12 free GoGo Inflight Internet Sessions. It is unclear if those promotions are still available at this time.
