"Last year, we felt like we had done a big season finale, and I feel like this one dwarfs it. I don't think a show of our budget has the potential to go any bigger. We saved all year, so that we could blow it out on this final episode, and we really do. It's as close to a traditional zombie movie as we will or have ever done," the showrunner said.

To describe the scale of its immensity, it was found out that it took 10 days to shoot that episode.

However, it will all be worth it as the final hour of the season will tie up all the loose ends. But fans better be wary though because "at least one player" won't be making it to the next season.

"Someone in the mix will be going down," the site teased.

Speaking of Season 3, the Season 2 closer will also serve as the set-up for what's coming up ahead in the show. As a teaser, Liv will have a "paradigm shift."

Other developments coming up also points out to Goodwin's Det. Babineaux. The actor revealed that he's still looking forward for that moment when his character will finally discover Liv's brain-eating secrets.

Anders, on his part, is quite having a good time playing his character Blaine who has changed a lot, "psychologically and mentally," after he took the cure.

"iZombie" Season 2 airs every Tuesdays on The CW.
