Jets Fan Punches Woman After Game, Assailant Did Time For Stabbing 17-Y-O in the 90's, Says Report (VIDEO)
After the New York Jets beat the New England Patriots in overtime on Sunday video surfaced of a jets fan punching a woman in the face as people left MetLife stadium with new reports indicating that the assailant did time before for stabbing a 17-year-old in the 90's.
It is still not clear how the altercation began, but video shows a man in a Jets jersey punching a woman wearing a Patriots T-shirt.
"We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior," a Jets spokesman said, according to the New York Daily News. "Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police."
In the video, the woman is seen walking toward the man at Met Life Stadium and she tries to push him before the man hits the woman in the face.
There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the fight, according to Fox News.
After the video went viral new details are emerging about the assailant's history. A report in the New York Daily News said the man has served prison time for killing another man.
According to the report, the alleged assailant is named Kurt Paschke, a Long Island man who reportedly did time in the 1990s for fatally stabbing a 17-year-old. The family of the teen killed in the stabbing, Henri Ferrer, believes Paschke did only three years because his father was a Suffolk County police officer.
The parents of the man in the video seen hitting the woman in the face are coming to his defense by insisting that he was confronted by a number of angry Patriot fans and was only defending himself. The added that he never intended to hurt anyone.
His mother said he was only coming to her defense.
"He's the victim, really," she told the Daily News.
