Johnny Manziel Says He and Broncos' Von Miller Are Now Roommates

Johnny Manziel made an interesting claim on Saturday night after cameras were all focused on him, saying that he is currently staying with the Denver Broncos' Von Miller. By literally saying they're roommates, it should be a quite intriguing thought since the Broncos have been rumored to be pitching for the services of the embattled quarterback.

He told TMZ, "I'm living out here with my guy Von Miller. Everybody knows Von Miller," he said. While a report published later by ESPN said that the former Cleveland Browns draft pick is actually living with former teammate Josh Gordon in an apartment near Sunset Boulevard, there is good reason why Manziel would make false claims about him and Miller living together. This has a lot to do with Miller's statement last Friday where he said that he wants Manziel to join him in Denver. In another ESPN interview, he said that if only had the power to decide, he would get Manziel without reservations. Obviously, that's not something he's paid to do.

Gordon himself is no stranger to controversy since he was suspended in the entirety of the 2015 season after testing positive for a banned substance. He still is waiting for this reinstatement to the league.

After a tumultuous stint, Manziel was released by the Browns in March and since then, no other team than the Broncos have expressed interest in hiring the free agent; and there's good reason not to. He's been dealing with a lot of off-field issues as of late and has shown no sign of backing down from making bad decisions. The young quarterback has a lot of promise and talent in him, but it's not really sure if he's the kind of guy the Broncos can rely on to replace Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler.

Perhaps upon reading Manziel's claims via internet, Miller decided to end the rumors by tweeting that the quarterback isn't with him, but quickly followed it up by saying that he is a "brother" and that he supports him all the way.
