Jon Gosselin Denies Cheating, Claims Children Have 'Developmental' Disorders

In a new interview, former reality TV star Jon Gosselin revealed that he never cheated on ex-wife Kate Gosselin. The couple divorced in 2009 after appearing on TLC's "Jon and Kate Plus 8" for several years. Jon also revealed that he thought six of his eight children suffered from developmental disorders as a result of their time on TV.

"I saw my kids not growing up normally, like I grew up, and having community," Jon told Oprah on the latest episode of her series "Where Are They Now?" "Yes, they got to travel the world, and yes, they got these fabulous things and yes, they have trust funds and they're taken care of educationally. Great. But developmentally, they have problems with their peers, and they have problems with talking to other people, and they have problems with wants and needs and manners and morals and what's right and wrong, I think more so than someone who grew up off TV."

The Gosselin family became famous for its large size and set of twins as well as sextuplets, all whom survived premature birth and remain in the public spotlight. Twins Cara and Mady are now 13, and their six brothers and sisters: Alexis, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, are 9. The eight children grew up on TLC; when Jon and Kate formally divorced, they made the announcement on their show, and Kate continued on with the series after it was renamed "Kate Plus 8."

There were allegations that Jon cheated on his wife, which led to their divorce, but he is adamant that he was never unfaithful to his wife or family.

"You're trying to keep your marriage together, and you're trying to keep your family ties together. The most common misperception is that I cheated on my wife, that I left my family, that I'm a party boy," Jon said, "but my family knows the truth."

Jon recently admitted that he does not pay child support because the children are with him so often; he apparently has not paid anything to Kate in four years, according to reports. He currently works as a waiter at a local restaurant in order to support his family.

"I don't have a relationship with Kate. There is no relationship. Text and email. That's it," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Kate and I both support the children financially because she takes care of school and all that stuff but I take care of the exact same things she takes care of. I buy their own groceries; they have their own groceries at my house, their own bedrooms, their own stuff … it's doubled."
