Kim Kardashian Valentine's Gift From Kanye West a Vogue Cover? Rapper Talking With Anna Wintour

Kanye West has been trying to get his fiance Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue magazine for several months and insiders claim the rapper is hoping Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour will finally say "yes" by Valentine's day.

West, 36, once openly complained about Kardashian's lack of recognition from the fashion world and he has reportedly been on a mission to land her a Vogue cover ever since. Insiders claim that it is the reality TV star's dream to cover the leading fashion publication and the rapper hopes to persuade Wintour in time for Valentine's day to make Kardashian's day extra special.

West proposed to Kardashian, 33, in October and they are set to wed in the summer. The "New Slaves" rapper reportedly wants Kardashian to cover Vogue in her wedding dress.

"Quiet as it's kept, Kanye hasn't made the deal happen yet, but he wants Kim to pose on the cover in her wedding dress," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He thinks that's the epitome of everything and he's begging Anna [Wintour] to say yes to it by Valentine's Day," a source continued. "He wants Kim to be assured by then that it's a done deal and that she has the cover thanks to him."

Wintour is renowned for selecting iconic Hollywood stars such as Beyonce Knowles to cover the fashion publication, as well as Olympic athletes and even highly respected political figures like First Lady Michelle Obama. Kardashian, who rose to stardom in 2007 following the release of her sex tape, has reportedly never been considered for a cover despite her interest, which West claims is unfair.

"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday," West told Radio host Ryan Seacrest in October.

Last month reports claimed West approached Wintour about "Girls" creator Lena Dunham's cover. Dunham appeared on the publication's February issue, which West reportedly believes is an insult to Kardashian.

"Kanye thinks that Kim has a much bigger fan base and appeal than Lena. To Kanye, it's insulting that his friend Anna is still refusing to even consider putting Kim on the cover of Vogue," a source explained.

Kardashian is said to be eager to appear on the cover of Vogue to boost her career.

"Kim would die to be on the cover ... it would cement her in the fashion world but there's no way in hell she's about to ask Anna for that," a source said previously.
