Kirstie Alley and Patrick Swayze Had 'Worse' Than an Affair, Says Actress
Kirstie Alley has come forward with the truth about her past relationship with the late Patrick Swayze. In a new interview, the actress and "Dancing With the Stars" contestant said that while she and Swayze were both married, they did not "technically have an affair."
The two worked together on the dramatic mini-series "North and South," and built an intense bond. She was married to actor Parker Stevenson, while Swayze was with his wife Lisa Niemi. Swayze and Alley's relationship never turned physical, but as Alley said, "I think what we did was worse."
In the interview for "Entertainment Tonight," Alley explained her rationale for calling her relationship with Swayze "worse."

"I think when you fall in love with someone when you're married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It's doubly bad," she said.
The two did not work together after "North and South," but remained friends until Swayze's death in 2009. She was even asked by Swayze's wife to speak at his funeral. Alley also revealed that she was unsure whether Lisa ever knew about her and Patrick's relationship.
Alley has been married twice: once to Bob Alley and then the Parker Stevenson, with whom she has two adopted children. The actress has an apparent history of falling for her co-stars. In 1989, she worked with John Travolta on the popular film, "Look Who's Talking," in which she played a single mother who falls for Travolta's character.
She told Barbara Walters that Travolta was "the greatest love of my life" and she wanted to "run off and marry John" during filming of "Look Who's Talking." That revelation came during an interview earlier this week, making it the second such revelation in just a few days.
Alley is currently competing on "Dancing With the Stars: All Stars" along with partner Maks Chmerkovskiy. The show's next episode airs Monday night at 8:00 p.m. ET, with a special double elimination on Tuesday at 8:00 on ABC.
