Kristen Stewart's Mom Files for Divorce

Kristen Stewart's mother Jules recently filed for divorce after 27 years of marriage to the actress' father John, it has been revealed.

Jules, who has allegedly been separated from John since 2010, filed the divorce petition in L.A. County Superior Court on Aug. 17, according to TMZ.com.

The divorce filing follows reports that the estranged couple, who both work in film production, have refused to support Stewart following her recent cheating scandal with 41-year-old Rupert Sanders.

The 22-year-old, who had been dating actor Rob Pattinson for three years, was photographed intimately hugging Sanders, which prompted her public admission and apology for cheating.

"[Her parents] feel Kristen has really embarrassed herself and don't blame Rob for not calling her back," a source told Us Weekly Magazine. "This is not the Kristen they know."

Sanders, who directed Stewart's latest film "Snow White and The Huntsman," has been married to model Liberty Ross for 10 years and the pair shares two children. Stewart allegedly considered including Ross in her public apology, but later decided that a private letter would be more appropriate.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart said in a public statement.

The actress reportedly plans to seek forgiveness over her tryst with Sanders in a private letter to Ross.

"Kristen didn't feel it was appropriate to issue a public apology to Liberty once the story of her affair with Rupert broke. Instead, she's going to do the decent thing and write Liberty a private letter expressing her deepest regret for her actions," a source close to the situation previously told Radar Online.com.

"She was thinking of including Liberty, Rupert and the kids in her public apology – but Kristen was so desperate to save her relationship with Rob she decided to concentrate on that first. Kristen feels she made a terribly naive mistake and will do anything to make amends. The fact that Liberty and Rupert have two kids has now dawned on her and she feels awful for what she did," the source added.
