'Law & Order: SVU' Season 17 Episode 18 Spoilers: Series Star Shares Character's Reaction Over Benson's Reassignment

It's by the far one of the most frustrating thing to happen in NBC's hit police procedural drama TV series "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 when Lt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) has been ousted in the Special Victims Unit of NYPD for probing into the misconducts of ranking officials and affluent members of the society.

It turns out that Ice-T's fan-favorite Detective Fin Tutuola is also utterly displeased about his colleague's reassignment. In an interview, the former singer and rapper told Entertainment Weekly that Fin will be totally "pissed" when he returns from his vacation.

"He's like, 'What the f***? How did that happen? I've only been gone a week. What happened?' They try to explain it to me. It was a simple case, but there's more to it," he told EW.

The cast member went on to explain about the incident which fans may already know has something to do with Tucker (Robert John Burke) always preying on the department.

"It's a conflict of interest, but we right it. It rights itself," he went on to assure that Hargitay's heroine is still on the show but viewers are yet to see what goes through.

The upcoming episode, "Unholiest Alliance," will continue to tackle on the sex trafficking case which happens to have been involved with individuals who are in the high echelons.

The synopsis from The Futon Critic says that the Lt. Benson-less SVU will "struggle" to unravel the case and perhaps redeem their leader.

In related news, a casting report from TVLine announced the return of SVU veteran cast member Richard Belzer. The latter will be reprising his role as Det. John Munch in an up and coming episode slated to air this May. According to the media outlet, the detective will join the force to look into the case of a "young model who claims she was preyed upon by a famous photographer."

For the meantime, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" Season 17 Episode 18 "Unholiest Alliance" premieres this Wednesday, Mar. 23, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
