LG Optimus G Pro Specs and Image Leak
Two new images leaked onto the internet this week reveal the appearance and specifications for the upcoming LG Optimus G Pro smartphone.
The specification information in the new leaks matches up with some of the past reports. The device is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot for extra external storage, 2GB RAM, 3,000mAh battery, 4G LTE support, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 2.4-megapixel front camera.
The release date for the Optimus G Pro is rumored for April for customers in Japan. No information has been released regarding the smartphone's release in other countries, however, it should launch in South Korea, Canada and the United States sometime this year. The Optimus G Pro's predecessor, the Optimus G, is currently available in all of those nations.

The unveiling for the device could take place during this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. LG Mobile released a teaser trailer this week that features a white gift box with a pink ribbon shaped like the letter "L." The ad also reads a "new series" will be unveiled. This ad is most likely for the company's L series smartphone.
LG will also be rolling out the Android 4.1, JellyBean update for the Optimus G this month.
"As 4G LTE availability expands on a global scale, we will leverage our strong LTE technology and expertise to offer consumers the best 4G experience through our devices," Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said in an earlier statement.
"With the latest JellyBean OS and improved software, Optimus G will make a strong case for the title of ultimate premium 4G LTE smartphone," he added.
