Ma$e, 'Basketball Wives LA' Star Address Dating Rumors

Mason Betha, known in the hip-hop world as Ma$e, is addressing rumors about being romantically linked to "Basketball Wives LA" star Malaysia Pargo.

Pargo, 32, announced that she was splitting from her husband of eight years, Jannero Pargo of the Charlotte Hornets. The pair released a statement to Madame Noir, stating that they were separated.

"Our family is our top priority and while we have decided to amicably go our separate ways, we ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. We are both committed parents and plan to remain friends as we co-parent our three children," the statement reads. "At this time we do not wish to discuss the details of our divorce."

After people began to link Pargo with the pastor-turned-rapper who many refer to as Ma$e, both parties spoke out about the rumors.

"I'm not dating anyone but GOD…but Mase you cute tho," Malaysia wrote on Instagram.

Betha, the 38-year-old pastor and founder of El Elyon International Church and Mason Betha Ministries, has also taken to his Instagram account to refute the rumors.

"That story about me dating her is inaccurate," Betha wrote. "However, I am flattered that you all still know that I'm that smooth and good looking enough to acquire such a lady."

The rapper also posted a picture that read, "STAY FOCUSED." Instead of addressing rumors about his marriage being on the rocks that have been posted by the likes of TMZ, Betha has been working to promote his new single, "Nothing."

In the song, Ma$e references a "freak" woman and the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami, Fla.

The on-and-off again minister raps, "She don't do burger spots, She like to splurge a lot / And if the twerkin' stop, It's 'cause the merchant drop / And you won't ever catch my chick in a thirsty spot / Though she in King of Diamonds, it don't mean she ain't worth a lot."

The song was produced by Nic Nac, and teases his upcoming fourth studio album, Now We Even. The record seemed to spark mixed reactions from fans on Twitter after being released last month.

However, TMZ reported that sources close to the rapper-turned-pastor say he is using his comeback in the rap world to bring people closer to Jesus.

"Sources close to Mase say he doesn't see any issue doing both jobs ... because he's really using his street cred to infiltrate hip-hop and ultimately plans to bring rappers closer to Christ," TMZ previously reported. "Churchgoers tell us Mase has said his renewed spiritual calling was motivated by Michael Jackson's death -- and he feels he could have saved MJ if he'd been around to counsel him."
