As previously indicated, Henwick is the second cast to hail from the HBO high fantasy drama. She played as one of the Sand Snakes in the latest season. Jones, on the other hand, played Ser Loras Tyrell.

"I'm very excited to have Jessica as our Colleen Wing," says executive producer/showrunner, Scott Buck in an interview. "She's shown us that she can bring both a sense of quiet strength as well as an engaging vulnerability to the character."

Marvel big boss Jeph Loeb, meanwhile, praised the actress's "youthful vitality mixed with a strong sense of authority crucial to the character."

The entertainment magnate previously said that "Iron Fist" will tell the tale of Daniel Rand who, upon returning to NYC after he'd gone missing for a long time, became a crime-fighter. He goes up against criminal elements who seek to corrupt his city. He is best known for his "incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist."

"Iron Fist" is the fourth series that would make up the highly-anticipated superhero mini-series from Netflix, "The Defenders." The web streaming service has already released the first and second season of "Daredevil" as well as debuted "Jessica Jones." Next up is "Luke Cage" which will reportedly premiere this September.
