Microsoft Surface Book Update, News: Low-End Model With Upgraded Graphics Card Released Alongside Premium Version
Microsoft is now going all-in with its new tech devices as it announced the new entry-level version for the Surface Book, alongside the ultra-premium that boasts a massive storage space on top of its impressive specs.
According to the report from Tech Radar, Microsoft is currently adding a new, moderately priced model of the 2-in-1 detachable laptop that is packed with virtually the same specifications as that of the earlier unveiled base model.
It only took the device, which was launched on October 6 of this year together with the Surface Pro 4, a few days to get pre-sold. It has an Intel Core i5 processor with an 8 GB of RAM and comes with a 128GB amount of storage. Priced at $1,499, the "laplet" also has an integrated graphics card installed inside to offer basic graphics boost. Adding $200 more, buyers would get the latest version of the Surface Book, laden with the abovementioned specifications, but now has an Nvidia graphics card.
For those who who can afford it, Microsoft is offering the top-of-the-line version of the Surface Book that has 1TB SSD of storage space. Giving more value for the highly-priced device is the reported (via the official Microsoft Store) Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor that clocks at 2.6 GHz. Matching its incredible specs is a 16GB amount of RAM and a home grown HD graphics card. To further cater to the graphic requirements of its users, Microsoft thrown in a dedicated Nvidia graphics card to the device.
Both the low-end and the "ultimate" variant of the Surface Book are presented with a 13.5-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with a 3,000 x 2,000 resolution. Touted as the lightest of its kind, the device only weighs 3.34 lbs.
It operates with the latest Windows 10 OS and is shipped with a Surface Pen included in the package.
