'Nashville' Season 5 Renewal: Series Star Remains Clueless on the Show's Future; Episode 12 to See Juliette Returning

Something big is about to happen when ABC's hit musical drama TV series "Nashville" Season 4 returns this week.

The promo trailer for Episode 12 called "How Does It Feel to Be Free" hints how exactly these are all about to go down. In one instance, it shows some intense drama between Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten). Opposite to what is expected of them, the newlyweds are already going up against each other following an incident where Maddie (Lennon Stella) was groped on the stage by a person from the audience. Deacon assaulted the man which eventually interrupts the girl's performance and throws the whole place into disarray.

"Why would such a blow up on her like that?" Rayna confronts her husband.

"What was I supposed to do?" the man retorted. It seems likely that Deacon blamed Maddie for what had happened at the club and grounded her. It's possible that the girl got upset and left home as evidenced by the open window sill.

The clip also reveals yet another exciting moment that is about to take place in the episode. Hayden Panettiere will finally come back for her role in the series as Juliette. It can be remembered that the actress took a hiatus last year to get treatment for her postpartum depression. This January, the mother of one started filming for the remainder of the season.

Speaking of season, a report from The Hollywood Reporter said that even Britton herself, remains clueless on the show's future.

In an interview, she told THR that, "It's always so hard to know what's going to be the future. Those things are so completely out of our hands, so I always just wait to hear."

"I don't feel like I'm ever privy to these conversations. But as far as I know, there hasn't been any conversation like that," the actress added, as she points out to the speculations that Season 4 might be the series' last.

In the meantime, "Nashville" Season 4 will air this Wednesday, Mar. 23, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
