Neil Patrick Harris Rehearsing Extensively for Emmy Awards on Sunday

Much-adored awards show host Neil Patrick Harris is gearing up for his duties as host for this years Emmy Awards with insiders revealing he has been rehearsing extensively in preparation for some big numbers.

The last time Harris hosted the wards show was back in 2009 and wowed and entertained the audience with catchy tunes and great dancing and is reading for much of the same at the on stage at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles this time around.

During an event on Wednesday, Harris was excited to drop some hints regarding his upcoming performance.

"I'll be staying on stage the whole show - with a few exceptions," Harris told Yahoo! News.

"[I] thought about having a colostomy bag. I thought that would not be good for the first few rows. There's a lot of awards, so I thankfully don't have to do a lot of work. I get to come up with some funny one-liners," he added.

Harris also took to social media to give his fans and followers a heads up for what to expect come Sunday.

"Been dancing my face off in rehearsals for the choreographer's # in the @PrimetimeEmmys. I've such crazy respect for these dancers. Unreal," Harris posted to Twitter.

"I love TV and the motley crew of people that are part of it. With so many TV offerings of every type, I think that makes for a better viewing experience of television than ever, and I'm happy to be the guy in charge of honoring that," Harris told USA Today.

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will be held at the Nokia Theater on 22nd September and will be broadcast live on CBS at 8pm ET.
